lucky penny has almost recovered from her halloween candy hangover, and christmas is just around the corner! she is already thinking of ways to spoil her adorable little niece.

last year, she bought her a barbie electric guitar that only plays “girls just wanna have fun”. lucky penny’s sister was less than impressed… her daughter has not stopped rockin’ it ever since.

when lucky penny heard about barbie loves joe fresh, she knew exactly what was going into her niece’s stocking. the collaboration features women’s and girls sleepwear… cozy, pink flannel pyjamas will be perfect to wear on christmas morning.

the sisters just might need a matching pair, too!

lucky penny is having one of *those* days… like a scene out of adventures in babysitting.

she loves spending time with her adorable baby niece… shopping, lunch, nap… what possibly could go wrong?

fall sunshine. blue skies. fluffy clouds. the perfect day for a stroll along yonge street… first stop: the *new* mexx flagship store. (note: their *new* maternity collection is sold here.)

while grown-ups shop, there is a playground to keep the little ones entertained. lucky penny could not resist the matching knit cardigans (cream for her, purple for baby)… but when she turned back (and she only looked away for a second), her niece was gone!

thankfully the munchkin’s giggles gave her away… she was playing under a rack of parkas… and wearing a fur toque with pom-poms. phew.

laden with shopping bags and 10 years off her life, lucky penny (with kid in tow) crossed the street to grazie ristorante for a little pizza… and a large glass of vino.

let’s ignore the parking ticket on her windshield, shall we?

lucky penny is on birthday party duty… cake, clowns and children (screaming from a sugar high no less), oh my!

with just one phone call to the drake general store, she reveled in being able to cross one more item off her long to-do list: loot bags. *happy dance*
