eschewing the “no white after labour day” rule, lucky penny will be donning her whitest and brightest to the occasion… she also wants a new frock for amber’s annual white party on thursday.

even though cute boyfriend would look sizzling hot in a white blazer, she wonders if cooper jellybean could pose as her +1 instead. his fur would fit the partial white dress code perfectly. totes adorbs.

lucky penny‘s skin has taken a b*tch-slap beating this winter. with harsh winds and freezing temps, she is always on the lookout for anything to help protect her rosy cheeks.

a lovely recently introduced her to body blitz… from the body blitz spa, their products “combine neutral elements from the earth, sea and various botanicals”. best of all, they are 100% canadian… maple leaf love, natch.

she is a *big* fan of the line’s organic argan oil face serum, and exfoliates daily with the eucalyptus-mineral scrub. a stickler for moisturizing, she never forgets to slather on their mint-lime body lotion.

cute boyfriend always compliments on how radiant she looks, even if it is -22 outside… or tucked away indoors with a bottle of wine, good movie and cooper jellybean.

lucky penny, as you know, has been a fan of salty and pep for some time. while following their adventures, she recently noticed a *new* addition to the spice shakin’ duo… eggy the egg timer!

easily distracted in the kitchen, eggy has been a lifesaver for her. between watching episodes of y&r, to making sure cooper has eaten his dinner, lucky penny sometimes forgets she has things cooking on the stove… or in the oven… admittedly, in the microwave too.

thankfully, eggy is there to help time her cooking to perfection. as she whirls around the kitchen, it is all worth it seeing how much cute boyfriend appreciates a nice home-cooked meal. manners aside, he always has seconds and thirds, natch.

lucky penny hit snooze for the third time. she is completely cocooned under the covers.

cooper is snoring softly next to her. cute boyfriend is brewing a fresh pot of coffee, and making his girl breakfast in bed… just like every single morning.

but today is different… it is her birthday!!!

*exactly* one year ago, two lovelies (whose fifteen year friendship started back in awkward grade seven) had an idea to pen a blog… about everything (and anything) they adore.

lucky penny loves to shop all things gorge, indulge her culinary palate, and explore the city (toronto, montreal and vancouver). these golden nuggets must only be shared amongst her nearest and dearest.

operanation, canadian opera company‘s annual fundraiser, is one of *many* lucky penny-approved social events of the season. this year’s theme takes inspiration from gioachino rossini’s opera, la cenerentola.

the ball is next friday, october 29th (post-paws for the cause and cooper’s runway début) at the four seasons centre for the performing arts… with a *special* broken social scene and opera mash-up.
