made in cb2-anada

No Comments 13 February 2012

lucky penny is true north strong and free.

to commemorate the opening of their first canadian flagship, cb2 designed two *new* doodle dude appetizer porcelain plates.

whimsically illustrated oliver is dapper as a mountie, or playing hockey with wasabi peas. but why not crowd surfing at the big bop?

either way… he is cute as a button, and invited to her housewarming.

lucky penny is all grown up. whilst watching revenge, she found herself admiring the wall sconces in victoria’s walk-in closet rather than emily’s plot to destroy her next unsuspecting victim.

her home renovations are nearly complete, and movers have been booked. what next? furniture shopping.

perched on three ornate wooden legs, the luxe leather mimi chair by elte would be a perfect addition to her living room. a vibrant hued accent pillow would be brilliant, too.

decisions, decisions.

this little piggy

No Comments 03 January 2012

lucky penny saves every found coin, but… a tattered ziploc bag could hold them no longer.

meet her *new* adorable glass piggy bank by roost… with a cork stopper for a snout.

our busy blogger bee just bought a house, so she will be pinching precious pennies whenever possible.

an even better way to start off twenty twelve, this little piggy is not at the market… he is on sale. hurry!

i love you, ok?

1 Comment 21 September 2011

lucky penny knows cute boyfriend loves her, but… sometimes it is all about the little things like a love note.

a close second is gary taxali’s “i love you, ok?”. the book is an illustrative love letter to fans who know his vivid and fun drawings. no words. no pagination. pictures are louder than words, non?

***psst… his book signing is tonight at the art gallery of ontario from 6-9pm, featuring his two *new* books, “i love you, ok?” and “mono taxali”.

scarecrows and snowmen

lucky penny, whilst at the one of a kind show, stumbled upon an enchantingly whimsical display… wonderchild studio is what happens when alice takes a sip from the “drink me” bottle.

lindsay grahovac is a self-taught artist. her interest in miniature dollhouses began at age nine. two years later, she learned how to sculpt and sold her first piece. her designs are beautifully intricate, vibrantly life-like, and as miniature as a push pin!

with a vignette of framed keepsakes from travels past on display in her living room, lucky penny recently added some canadiana to the wall… a shadowbox whose caption reads “world’s tiniest snowman”. absolutely adorbs.
