lucky penny can be a sore loser… she is awfully competitive.

what better way to spend family day than with a *friendly* game of bowling? she piled the kids into her car, and took a wee road trip to all star interactive.

this bowling alley has two floors… perfect for birthday parties or date night… with glow-in-the-dark lanes, pool tables, jukeboxes, a full-service kitchen, cocktail lounges and flat screen tvs.

lucky penny has been getting her hands dirty, as of late, with all things #homereno. the 60-day countdown is quickly coming to an end (phew!), and she is in desperate need of a mani.

do cartwheels because lux spa recently opened their second location (formerly the nail shoppe)… just down the street from her soon-to-be ex-bachelorette pad, and right across from the eaton centre at 211 yonge street on the mezzanine level.

looking at paint chips or tile samples all day, and dreaming about them all night, has given her the super ability to scan a range of colours, and zone in on the best one. this *new* skill is incredibly effective since the nail bar has a plethora of colours… ranging from the palest of pinks, to the brightest of blues! opi and essie fans—welcome to your mecca.

finally recharged and with les hands et feet back in tiptop shape, it is back to the #homereno grind.

lucky penny adores being a tourist in her own city.

when a nearest and dearest was in town for a visit, she was more than delighted to show him right around… segue into segway, the two-wheeled traveler that looks nerdy but oh so fun.

jetset penny got a historical tour from chris, her segway of ontario guide, in the distillery district. bonus points for the chocolate tasting and beer sampling from mill street brew.

she may be back at month’s end for their ghost tours, but will need cute boyfriend to hold her tight if she sees an apparition. boo!

lucky penny is a gi-gan-tic ball of stress… even susan miller predicted it.

between client meetings, back-to-back events, copy deadlines, planning cute boyfriend‘s birthday dinner party and weekend getaway… her shoulders are tense… stomach is in knots… circles under her eyes are dark. sheesh.

combining the best of eastern and western medicine, dr. peter witz specializes in acupuncture, massage, and herbology at his holistic healing centre. with just one call, her home office quickly turned into an oasis.

within minutes, all her worries disappeared… dr. witz’s “healing hands” glided, kneaded, pulled, rocked, and vibrated. anxiety, whaaaaaaaat?

experiencing acupuncture for the first time, lucky penny felt a wee prick with each carefully placed needle… followed by an immediate sense of calm and euphoria. the foot massage was heavenly, too. (so was the three-hour long disco nap.) absolute bliss.

when is her next appointment?

lucky penny is a good friend… she was somehow convinced by her lovely bride-to-be to sign up for a boot camp class. gasp!

twice a week, she has been sweating it out at hourglass workout in liberty village. fitness model, lyzabeth lopez, takes no prisoners… kettle bells, plyometric training and crossfit challenges. oh my!

even better, the classes are right next door to liberty noodle. once their limbs feel like jello, the girls treat themselves to a feast. seared beef tataki with horseradish ponzu, and a fresh cucumber and prawn salad to start. as a main, they split the black bean chicken on a bed of greens and ramen noodles.

it might not all be on the hourglass meal plan, but lucky penny can keep a secret!
