bioré girls night in

12 Comments 20 May 2012

lucky penny is baaaaaack from españa. ¡olé!

drum roll, please… the winners (high-fives for being patient) of urbanears headphones are kristina and shannon. congratulations, lovelies!

one springtime saturday, lucky penny hosted #biorégirlsnightin with her darlings… a mobile spa party transformed her humble abode into an urban oasis for girly manicures, pedicures and facials. the hostess with the mostest was on mimosa and cupcake duty until… it was her turn to be spoiled.

when life was riddled with teen angst, she watched horror flicks with her pj-clad besties all whom had bioré deep cleansing pore strips affixed to their noses… they would hit pause on the vcr, and utter ewwwwww in unison whilst comparing who removed the most blackheads. c’mon, admit it… oddly satisfying riiiiight? (editor’s note: pore strip blogging helps minimize writer’s clogged pores, er, block.)

fast forward to present day thirtysomething dramarama, bioré gets a makeover… new packaging and colour-coded products, too. in the morning, lucky penny switches between bioré steam activated cleanser in the shower, and bioré pore unclogging scrub when on-the-go. bioré blemish fighting astringent is part of her daily arsenal.

for post-pilates cocktail hour prep, she loves bioré warming anti-blackhead cream cleanser… it heats on contact, and even cooper jellybean thinks it smells good enough to eat. our girl also swears by bioré make-up removing towelettes before bed.

***psst… to win a basket of all things bioré and $100 gift card from tips nail bar, simply leave a comment below telling us “why you deserve to be pampered?“. the winner will be announced on monday, june 18th. ¡buena suerte!

i need to be pampered because i spent the whole long weekend de-cluttering my house, and gardening to get ready for selling! am exhausted and my skin and nails are in bad shape.

  2. liron says:

i deserve to be pampered because i am in school and have no money to spend on anything except books. plus i am going to be going on interviews for internships/jobs soon and would love to show up with nice skin and nails.

  3. amal says:

i need to be pampered because i am burnt out. i’m a full time grad student. i have two part-time jobs. i volunteer tutor junior school kids. and i was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. i’m exhasted and would love to have some stress-free time and be pampered – it been awhile since i’ve had that.

  4. amy worrell says:

i am a first time mom to a amazing 4 month old – i would love to be pampered! i do not get to spend much time on myself and my poor nails need some serious work and i know that tips does a fantastic job!

  5. chelsey kovacs-sneath says:

i hope to be pampered because i’m a busy bee who does a lot for others and my community. between running a business, training for a triathlon and volunteering at our local humane society, i don’t have a ton of time (or money) for pampering myself.

  6. anne c says:

i deserve to be pampered because nobody else can put up with ryan. (he legit told me that was the reason.)

  7. ryan thomas says:

i deserve a day with a ton of geeky, smelly boys.

the only clear way to achieve this is to be an amazing boyfriend and have my lady pampered.

    it’s the circle of pampering.

  8. lauren says:

what perfect timing! i am in desperate need of a little tlc for my nails, and my skin, and me! in addition to my full-time job as a high-school teacher (dry hands from chalk much?) and my full calendar of volunteer activism, i am a new homeowner trying to make ends meet (and create a lovely space in my garden, hence the horrid hands) and an amateur athlete always training for next race (or recovering from my last one, and in great need of some footsie love!)

but most of all, i need to be pampered for a much more emotional reason. i am currently undergoing treatment for infertility and am on a barrage of different prescriptions that have left my skin in less-than-desirable conditions, and i’m generally supposed to keep my stress levels low. i think this amazing gift from biore, tips and lucky penny daily is just the treat i need to help me stay calm and approach these new challenges!

  9. erika says:

i deserve to be pampered because each day i sit at home and apply for jobs. it can be très boring! it would be lovely to treat myself as i’m currently budgeting my lucky pennies. plus, my skin will be glowing with all of the new bioré products!

  10. meghan says:

i am a busy, hard working, commuting pr gal and after attending seven weddings last summer i’m looking forward to weekends at home – turning the house into a spa would be heaven!

  11. debbie c. says:

if working in the construction industry wasn’t hard enough in this economy, by the end of the day working out in the field can leave my skin feeling so tired and dirty from all the blowing dirt in the air. what would be better than a nice at-home spa courtesy of all those great bioré products?? help me get my skin in a good place, so that i can return to the field looking refreshed each morning ready to tackle all the elements!!

  12. tava says:

i need to be pampered because my beloved little bird was on his deathbed according to the avian vet. i nursed him back to health by letting him “nest” for 20 or the last 48 hours between my ear and shoulder. now i have a neck ache and my skin is looking a little under lustreful because i spent the time product free right down to bare nails to avoid over-scenting the poor little fellow – worst of all i think he might be totally ungrateful for my suffering as he’s back to chirping at everyone else in the house and ignoring me!
