at sephora the other day, her heart went aflutter… stila‘s eyeshadow palette in “ethereal” is for june’s summer shimmers. this trio of champagne pink, taupe and dark brown complements any eye colour, from bright green to deep chocolate brown, and is perfect from day to night.
best of all… the tiny case, barely bigger than a toonie, is walk-of-shame-friendly. *note to self*

lindsay grahovac is a self-taught artist. her interest in miniature dollhouses began at age nine. two years later, she learned how to sculpt and sold her first piece. her designs are beautifully intricate, vibrantly life-like, and as miniature as a push pin!
with a vignette of framed keepsakes from travels past on display in her living room, lucky penny recently added some canadiana to the wall… a shadowbox whose caption reads “world’s tiniest snowman”. absolutely adorbs.

browsing the racks, lucky penny paused when her finger tips grazed the softest pair of black velvet pants by hoss intropia… she knew she *had* to have them; they fit like a glove! not to mention, she also caught a handsome stranger eying her derrière… not to worry cute boyfriend, she only has eyes for you, natch.
lucky penny is crossing off the days on her calendar with a red pen… less than 6 months until her lovely bride’s wedding. maid of honour to the rescue!
our girl is no stranger to fleurs and décor, but an hour into the consultation, her head was spinning… she has never been asked so many questions, nor unsure of her answers.
would the bride be requiring a tossing bouquet? cascade or orb? would the grandfathers like boutonières? would the head table need a smaller centrepiece that does not interfere with pictures?
thank goodness for creations by gitta… taking cues from one king west‘s turn of the century roots, gitta and her team recommended art deco-inspired cut crystal arrangements… with big, blossoming roses and dahlias in corals and oranges to perfectly complement the cream marble interior.

lucky penny is very loyal to cute boyfriend—that goes without saying.
but… besides dishing up amazing sandwiches, tasty soups and salads, meat & bread always has lots of cute boys, too. what is that about still being allowed to look at the menu?
since opening in december, lucky penny has sampled their famed porchetta sandwich (sprinkled with little bits of crackling), scrumptious beef brisket daily special number, meatball sammy, grilled cheese avec cheddar, red onion, and chili butter, and… well, you get the idea.
***psst… there is also a cool carving station (where she can talk to the cute boys), a long, cafeteria-like communal table (where she can sit and giggle about how many cute boys there are), and desserts like a bacon maple ice cream sandwich (perfect for sharing with, bien sûr, her cute boy).
