jacob & sebastian (at queen and bathurst) is dedicated to finding unique beauty and bath products. mor’s marshmallow aims to “envelope the senses in a luxurious cloak of marshmallow-y goodness”… the gorgeous belle époque packaging will look amazing prop styled in a bathtub.

malin + goetz‘s detox face mask will leave her skin glowing. finally, what better to distract from an injury than some boldly painted toes? strangebeautiful‘s nail lacquers in shades like “boiled lobster” will guarantee that no one sees the cast.

lucky penny loves to bestow her niece with gifts, especially ones that keep her warm and toasty. her latest and greatest find? mimitens!

made in canada, mimitens have extra-long cuffs to the elbow so that they do not fall off when recess gets wild. they are adorned with the most adorable graphics of owls, race cars, cupcakes, boom boxes and more.

even better? mimitens donates a portion of its proceeds to charities, such as right to play, sick kids foundation, geneva center for autism, and yonge street mission.

the ‘soft’ line for babies is made of eco-friendly bamboo and organic cotton. while the ‘all-weather’ line keeps tots warm with organic fleece, water-repellent nylon and thinsulate lining.

***psst… mimitens is all grown up… offerings in merino wool, luscious leather and prints of gorge jewels, so that baby momma need not feel left out.

lucky penny is a fan of everything whimsical and fantastic. sadly, not nearly often enough of this in her fair city… that is, until the tim burton exhibit.

just inside the tiff bell lightbox, she was taken into tim burton’s crazy, colourful world. filled with hundreds of hand-drawn illustrations, small-scaled models of sinister characters, and scenes from past films (batman, edward scissorhands, and alice in wonderland, to name a few), her childhood memories came rushing back.

flashback: saturday mornings may or may not have been indulged in bed with beetlejuice cartoons. she also remembers sneaking into daddy’s office, and playing artiste on his business files with doodles. oops!

other highlights from the exhibition include personal notes written to johnny *swoon-inducing* depp. “everything in this room is edible, even i’m edible… but that’s called cannibalism, and is not acceptable in most societies,” writes burton.

the exhibition runs until april 17th. go! stat.
