lucky penny was very excited to attend the breeyn mccarney ready-to-wear show last thursday. she loved the lipstick red sunburst dress from last season… and could not wait to see mccarney’s confections for fall 2010!

evening began with dinner at terroni…  glass of white and do a da pizza (tomato, mozzarella, goat cheese, eggplant and roasted red peppers). it was also a hop, skip and jump away from the courthouse.

each piece plays between structure and amorphous elements. heavier knits and wools are given a light and delicate feeling through lace or feather details. imagine models, like beautiful rag dolls, with ethereal clouds of hair by greg may.

certainly lucky penny could take home the whole collection… but if forced to choose just one piece, she is particularly fond of the white leather bodice dress paired with a distressed mohair shawl.

a hard-boiled wonderland indeed.
